Fimma-Maderalia: a good news

Over the last week the Fimma-Maderalia management presented the new exhibition model to the door manufacturers of Castilla-La Mancha, a new-style fair that will be easier and more economical to exhibit at. This in turn means that exhibiting at the industrys leading trade fair will be straightforward and companies will be able to work to closed budgets.
The project was very well received by the regions businesses, with many expressing their wish to participate in the fair under this new regime, which should be very profitable for them. The companies gave an enthusiastic welcome to the bespoke proposals that were made to each of them and agreed that a message of calm should be delivered to the marketplace.
The years during which Spain would manufacture more than 11 million doors are now gone. Design, quality and service are this industrys new trademarks. Smaller, more competitive companies that are setting store by reform, repositioning themselves in the domestic market and addressing the need to introduce themselves into foreign markets.
Fimma-Maderalia is adapting to reflect the new market situation. “At a time when sales networks are tighter and promotion budgets have been reduced a well planned fair can be a good solution“, claims the fairs director Miguel Bixquert.
The manufacturers were told all about the upcoming shows new features: the Contract carpentry project, the Design contest, the “Wood and sea project”, the Synthesis show, the Spanish vip customer programme and the trade missions that are being planned to bring buyers from 17 different Countries, amongst other things.
A meeting was held, too, with the president of the Door manufacturers association of Castilla-La Mancha, D. Angel Cepeda (who is also director of Puertas San Rafael). The possibility of organising a communal display area for the “Doors from La Mancha” project that would be supported by the Ministry of Industry was discussed during the meeting.
Spains wooden door manufacturing industry, an integral part of Fimma-Maderalia and one of the cornerstones of its prestige and modernisation process will once again be aiming to be one of the main focal points of the Valencia exhibition. In these difficult times that we are currently experiencing, the door manufacturers of La Mancha need to claim and defend a leading position in the marketplace more than ever, concludes Afap president Angel Cepeda.
